First off this blog is to help me and others document how I change and grow as a photographer. I didn't start off with enough artistic creative juices that it piled over into photography. Though I don't begrudge those who have that much creativeness- hopefully they have so much some spills into my cup every now and then. I want this to be fun for both you and for myself.
I have always taken pictures. I love having moments that years later I look at and the whole wonderful (or not so wonderful- even bad days have to be memories and sometimes it's good to remember what you have overcome) day. So I took pictures. Soon I saw a camera at Sam's Club (on sale- barely) and it was instantly added to the top of my wish list. Thankfully I have an amazing Momma and little brother and they bought it for me. I took so many photos that I took up all of our then computers memory- no joke.
One day a few women, my dearest friend and I had a scrap-booking night. I had a few pictures of the kids I take care of and one lady made a comment that I should do this as a living. Before this it had never entered my mind. And soon everyone was chiming in and we were goofing off about decisions I should make. A few weeks went by and a few months flew by. I was torn, I didn't like change and I defiantly didn't want to do something that I didn't know would secede or flop. A week or so before I made my decision I talked with Momma, I'm sure she knew what was going on but I never told her- one of those "Mom Senses". I had made my decision. I was going to start my own photography business.
I know I've already said it but still I've always been fascinated with the fact that a single photo taken in a single second of time can almost literally transport you back to that time. And so I came up with my name A Second In Time. And so started the journey. It has been an amazing one too. I've learned so much and have met some amazing people.
I will be posting another post sometime today or tomorrow with what I've done up till now. Then I plan to have two more posts up once my two latest clients have received their photos. I hope this post has been a good introduction into A Second In Time. If there is any questions feel free to ask!
A special thanks to my Momma, GMomma, Sam and Gdad for always being there to support, encouraging and putting up with me.
Add to Daehnera, Momma Stacy, Mrs. Melisa, Aunt Jos and Mrs. Kari for always encouraging me and getting me started!
We love you Hannah dear!
