Old Home Place

Going to take a break from updating you on my sessions and clients (though it seems I'm never going to be done doing that sometimes)! We just got back from our trip back to the home place in Louisiana. And let me tell you it was amazing! So much warmer than Amarillo for one! Wonderful foods. I think we had gumbo two or three times. And you better believe we brought some of that good gumbo and yummy boudin (pronounced boo-dan). And more importantly I got to spend time with my family. I even got to see my aunt, uncle and cousin! It was a fantastic trip. And while I won't be sharing the family moments with you all I did go hiking a bit (the home place is 365 acres spread around down there with roughly 60 of it where the home is at). I have some wonderful scenery I want to share. '

Let's get this train a moving shall we?

One of the old barns.

Lincoln was my hiking companion

I love the vibrant colors!

I love trees! It's one of the things I really miss about Louisiana.

Leaves of three oh let it be!

I obsess over a bunch of things but I love, love, LOVE mushrooms!

And owls. Owls are amazing!

These leaves seemed so delicate but my little lens wasn't strong enough so I got my Big Mac Daddy!

Beautiful pine cones!

Berries!

Second version.

Again the colors are AMAZING!!!

The old house that my Gmomma and her five siblings grew up in! Still standing after countless hurricanes and bad weather!

I hope you've enjoyed the photos! Remember I do sell prints of all stills. Have a wonderful Wednesday dears!
